Too Profitable to Cure

Codex is mandated to establish guidelines on food trade issues.2 Any country that is part of the World Health Organization (WHO) is subject to the codex guidelines and sanctions if they digress. Consider what happened to the United Nations regarding the "food for oil" scandal. Now, consider that the pharmaceutical companies have vast resources (money and power) worldwide. codex directives are currently seeking to eliminate all vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and most other supplements as free-trade items. They are seeking to reclassify all these supplements as pharmaceuticals...

While these substances have been banned by both United States law and the Stockholm Convention treaty, (which was independently signed by each of the individual member nations of codex including the U.S.A.), the codex Commission itself seems to have little concern about the rampant proliferation of these chemicals in animal feed and byproducts. Did You Know? The higher an organism is found in the food chain, the greater amount of POP's can be detected in that organism's body.
Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) jointly formed the codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) in 1963. The intent of the 172 nations originally involved was to create a set of international food standards, guidelines, and codes of practice promoting food safety. Despite their stated focus on "consumer protection," the codex Commission approved seven of the most toxic chemical compounds known to man for use as pesticides in the production of foods!

Conscious Health: A Complete Guide to Wellness Through Natural Means

Much of the codex agenda with regards to natural health supplements is now law in parts of Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. codex dietary supplement rules are in effect in Norway and Germany. For example, in Norway, the sale of vitamin E is restricted to no more than 45 International Units, the maximum for vitamin C is 200 mg per tablet, and coenzyme qio is now classified as a drug and is dramatically higher in price. In Canada, when the 'sleep booster' tryptophan was reclassified as a drug, the price escalated by 500%.
In 1962, a commission called codex Alimentarius (Latin for "food code") was established by the World Health Organization and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. Its directive was to develop international food standards to protect consumer health and to facilitate fair trading practices in foods. About half its members, however, are directly or indirectly related to the pharmaceutical industry. The codex commission now meets every year behind closed doors. Its primary goal is to eliminate natural health supplements from the market.
Once approved, the codex Alimentarius recommendations will form an international code of standards that will force nations adopting them to "harmonize" with its heavily restrictive rules. Further information on codex may be found at www.friendsoffreedom.org. Today, it appears that our health is under attack from new viruses, more diseases, and more pervasive economic interests that want to restrict our access to natural therapies. What can we do to protect ourselves? The first step is to understand what we are doing wrong so we can strengthen the environment within our own bodies.

The codex Alimentarius Commission (CODEX) was set up in 1962 as a joint body of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the World Health Organization (WHO) under the heavy influence of the European drug industry. The United States signed up for codex in the 1990s, when we became members of the World Trade Organization (WTO). According to the Congressional Research Service: "As a member of the World Trade Organization, the United States does commit to act in accordance with the rules of the multilateral body.
Simply put, this new directive was the European Union's methodology of accepting and adopting a global harmonization of guidelines effecting nutritional supplements worldwide called "CODEX" which the U.S. is taking part in and is in the process of determining how it will be adopted and implemented here. Open the pre-Conquest ritual book known as the codex Fejervary-Mayer and you will see. On one of the screenfold pages of this book—painted somewhere within the confines of the empire during the Late Post-Classic— the cacao tree appears as part of a cosmic diagram (a mandala, if you wish) laid out to the four directions and to the center. It is the Tree of the South, the direction of the Land of the Dead, associated with the color red, the color of blood.

FSANZ had requested Monsanto to justify why it did not use a non-GMO parental variety as a control in its compositional analyses. According to INBI, "We could find no explanation of the applicant's response to FSANZ.

I'm not sure I totally believe this plan, but some of what's happening with codex Alimentarius sure seems suspicious (as in, why would they make therapeutic doses of vitamins illegal, anyway?). On the other hand, if world leaders really wanted to kill everyone, they could just force the population to watch endless reruns of televised speeches from President Bush, and that would drive countless voters to kill themselves far more quickly. But suppose the theories have an element of truth?

In each case, the authority has, in our view, relaxed adherence to international standards for safety testing when that better suited the Applicant's submitted work, and imposed international standards whenever that was a lower standard than we recommended____FSANZ claimed that cost to government was not in its purview, so they could avoid looking at labeling, etc.

Vigorously argued against making "optimal health" a goal of the codex Alimentarius discussions, striking the phrase from the final report. Rigged its drug safety review panels with decision makers who have substantial financial ties to drug companies, even while refusing to disclose such blatant conflicts of interest. Planned, organized, and took part in armed "SWAT-style" raids on vitamin shops, pet food stores, and even a church.

True to his medical calling, Hernandez dwells on the supposed therapeutic virtues of the cacao tree and its products, One page of the codex Mendoza covers the tribute extracted by the Aztecs from Xoconochco. This detail shows 200 loads of cacao beans, 40 jaguar skins, and chocolate jars. but this is a subject that we shall cover in detail in the next chapter, for this was a prime concern of the medicine-poor Europeans. To return to the pre-Conquest Aztecs, their prize possession was surely Xoconochco (Soconusco).
Having done this, the artist-scribe then states whether the surface is Comparison of Classic and Post-Classic Maya cacao glyphs: on Classic ceramics (left) ; in the Dresden codex (right). painted or carved, and even occasionally signs his name. Then comes what epigrapher Barbara McLeod has nicknamed "the recipe"—the actual contents of the vessel. We shall return to this in a moment. The PSS text closes with a personal name followed by a series of noble titles; these apparently identify the patron who commissioned the object, presumably for his or her future interment.
Aztec pochteca merchants on the road, from Sahagun's Florentine codex. This is the way that cacao was transported to the capital, Tenochtitlan. Their very name, pochteca, meaning "People from the Land of the Ceiba-tree," suggests their intimate connection with the tropical lowlands, where the ceiba flourishes. As we have said, the pochteca may have been instituted in central Mexico by the Putiin overlords of Cacaxtla, centuries earlier. Sahagun devoted an entire book of his encyclopedia to the pochteca.
The number of victims who died under the knife was grossly exaggerated by the Spaniards, probably in an attempt to justify their Image of Huitzilopochtli, patron god of the Aztecs and deity of war and the sun, from the codex Borbonicus. own reprehensible actions during and after their invasion of Mexico; at the most, a few thousand prisoners might have so ended their lives each year in the Aztec capital, as compared to the many tens of thousands claimed in the Spanish accounts.

The reader will later learn that one of the most important articles of merchandise carried by the traders was cacao, although specific trade goods are not mentioned in the codex. If the Maya ever wrote down inventories, accounts, or even recipes, as other early civilizations did, they did it in a form—bark-paper books— which could not survive the sort of climate that cacao demands. To return to the Classic era, the only written evidence for the Classic Maya use of cacao survives on the elegantly painted or carved vessels that accompanied the elite in their tombs and graves.
